ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Cindy Connolly

My origin into Massage began as a patient. Not only did I enjoy great results from my massage treatments, but I also noticed there were no ugly side effects.

Later, I decided to enter school, learn the art of massage, and share those gifts with others. I have practiced massage in a; Medical Spa, Central Dupage Hospital, Geriatric Medical Office, and Private Practice.

I have taught Massage Therapy & Continued Education for almost two decades, managed Massage Therapy programs, and help to write Massage Therapy coursework and licensure exam prep courses. I have also served on an accrediting agency as an evaluator of massage schools, and acted as a volunteer item writer for the licensure exam.

Over the past 9 years, I managed the Continuing Education Department for the NCBTMB. One of the greatest pleasures and sources of satisfaction has been serving to support the massage educators worldwide.

I see teaching as a collaboration between the experienced and novice. This exchange allows me to share valuable insight with new members of the massage community, while enjoying some professional growth as well. Each individual offers a unique perspective, and I enjoy giving back to the community, which has helped me to find my own personal balance.

I hope my students take away more than just the course objectives. I hope they are able to discover some new things about themselves.

I am inspired by my family, friends, students, co-workers, and the practitioners I receive services from, as they all continue to amaze me. I always look forward to working directly, with my tribe of massage therapists!
