Integrated Shiatsu Table Work – 14 NCBTMB CEUs

 

Description

Therapeutic and clinical applications using table Shiatsu as its focus. The goal of this class is for the therapist to utilize their knowledge in movement, energetic channels, and anatomical specificity.

 

Areas of Study

 

• Supporting movement/exercises for both therapist and client

• Table setup (height and width)

• Placement of the client

• Therapist body awareness

• Tsubo location and stimulation

• Guided exchanges of supine, side-lying and prone techniques

• Lectures include a fundamental overview of anatomical and energetic locations

 

Prerequisites

Successful completion of at least 500 clock hours at a state-approved massage therapy school

 

Instructor/Provider

This class is taught by Randy Cummins, LMT.  In his 25 year career, Randy has had the privilege of being on the teaching faculty of The Chicago School of Massage Therapy, the New School for Massage, and The Lauterstein-Conway Massage School. Along with providing trainings throughout the United States and Caribbean, he maintains a private massage practice in both Chicago and Austin, Texas.
